AOV Bundles Volume Discounts vs AOV.ai Post Purchase Upsellfor Shopify (2026)
Both AOV Bundles Volume Discounts and AOV.ai Post Purchase Upsell are Shopify apps designed to increase Average Order Value (AOV) through upsell and cross-sell strategies. However, they target different stages of the customer journey and employ distinct methodologies. AOV Bundles Volume Discounts focuses on incentivizing larger initial purchases through bundle offers and volume discounts presented *before* checkout, allowing customers to build their carts strategically. It caters to merchants who want to influence purchasing decisions *during* product selection. AOV.ai Post Purchase Upsell, on the other hand, centers on maximizing AOV *after* the initial purchase is completed, leveraging the post-purchase, thank you, and order status pages with one-click upsell offers. The core difference lies in when the upsell attempt is made: pre-purchase (bundles, discounts integrated into the browsing and cart building experience) versus post-purchase (one-click offers after the initial order is placed). The first app seems suitable for merchants who sell products that naturally complement each other, or where offering bulk discounts makes sense. The second targets merchants who want to tap into impulse buying after the initial purchase commitment. Both apps claim ease of use with no coding required, but AOV Bundles Volume Discounts emphasizes AI-powered recommendations for bundle types, whereas AOV.ai Post Purchase Upsell highlights AI-powered templates for faster launch of offers. The support provided by both apps is reported to be 24/7.
