AOV Bundles Volume Discounts vs AOV.ai Slide Cart Drawerfor Shopify (2026)
AOV Bundles Volume Discounts and AOV.ai Slide Cart Drawer both aim to increase Average Order Value (AOV) for Shopify merchants, but they approach this goal with different strategies. AOV Bundles focuses on pre-purchase optimization by allowing merchants to create various bundle and volume discount offers presented on product pages or other strategic locations. This app targets merchants who want to proactively encourage customers to buy more items per order by highlighting bundled deals and quantity-based savings. It appeals to stores with a diverse product catalog that lends itself well to bundling. AOV.ai Slide Cart Drawer, on the other hand, concentrates on optimizing the cart experience itself. It provides a sleek, customizable slide-out cart with upsell opportunities, quick checkout options, and the ability for customers to add multiple discount codes. This app is suited for merchants who want to improve the checkout process and encourage last-minute additions to the cart, particularly through well-placed upsells. The key difference lies in their point of intervention: AOV Bundles acts earlier in the customer journey, focusing on influencing purchasing decisions before items are added to the cart, while AOV.ai Slide Cart Drawer intervenes during the cart review phase, capitalizing on existing purchase intent. AOV Bundles leverages AI to suggest bundle types, indicating a focus on ease of setup and optimization, whereas AOV.ai Slide Cart Drawer emphasizes customization and enhanced checkout functionality. The significantly higher number of reviews for AOV Bundles suggests it may be a more established and widely adopted solution, though AOV.ai Slide Cart Drawer still boasts a perfect rating.

Our Verdict
For merchants seeking a proactive approach to increase AOV by incentivizing larger purchases before the cart stage, AOV Bundles Volume Discounts is the better choice. Its AI-powered recommendations and diverse bundling options offer a comprehensive solution. However, if the priority is to optimize the existing cart experience, provide a smoother checkout process, and capitalize on last-minute upsells, AOV.ai Slide Cart Drawer is the more suitable option. The Slide Cart Drawer directly addresses cart abandonment and encourages add-ons through strategic placement within the checkout flow. Given the higher review count, AOV Bundles may be considered a more established app, but AOV.ai Cart Drawer offers a distinct focus on cart optimization that could be highly beneficial for certain stores.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
AOV Bundles Volume Discounts emphasizes ease of setup, particularly with its AI-recommended bundle types. This suggests it may have a slightly lower barrier to entry for merchants without extensive technical expertise.
Can both apps be used together?
Yes, theoretically they can be used together. AOV Bundles would influence the items added to the cart, while AOV.ai Slide Cart Drawer would optimize the cart experience after items are already added. However, it's important to consider whether the combined effect would be overwhelming for the customer.
Which app is better for mobile users?
AOV.ai Slide Cart Drawer explicitly states that it is mobile-ready. While AOV Bundles doesn't specifically mention mobile optimization, most modern Shopify apps are designed to be responsive. However, the Cart Drawer's focus on a streamlined mobile checkout suggests it may provide a superior mobile experience.
Which app is more likely to increase AOV?
Both apps aim to increase AOV, but through different mechanisms. AOV Bundles focuses on encouraging larger initial purchases through bundling and discounts, while AOV.ai Slide Cart Drawer focuses on last-minute upsells and a smoother checkout process. The effectiveness of each app will depend on the specific store and customer behavior.
Does either app integrate with other upsell or discount apps?
Neither description explicitly mentions integrations with other apps. Further investigation into the apps' documentation or contacting their support teams would be needed to determine compatibility with other upsell or discount tools.
