AOV Bundles Volume Discounts vs SelfDesk: Order Edit & Upsellfor Shopify (2026)
AOV Bundles Volume Discounts and SelfDesk: Order Edit & Upsell are both Shopify apps designed to increase Average Order Value (AOV) through upselling and cross-selling strategies, but they approach this goal with distinct feature sets and target different merchant needs. AOV Bundles Volume Discounts focuses on automating bundle creation and volume discounts, offering AI-powered recommendations, customizable widgets, and a broader range of bundle types (fixed sets, mix-and-match, build-your-own kits, and frequently bought together offers). This app emphasizes ease of use with a no-code setup and 24/7 support, aiming to provide a seamless experience for merchants of all sizes. SelfDesk: Order Edit & Upsell, on the other hand, focuses on order editing capabilities alongside upselling. While details are sparse, the app's name suggests core functionality involves direct order modification and supplementary product offers. The significant difference in the number of reviews (292 vs 4) indicates that AOV Bundles Volume Discounts has a much larger user base and a longer track record. This potentially offers more social proof and established reliability, although SelfDesk is still relatively new to the market and could grow in time. The emphasis of AOV Bundles Volume Discounts on visually appealing, native-feeling offers highlights its strength in providing a polished customer experience.

Our Verdict
AOV Bundles Volume Discounts is the superior choice for merchants seeking a comprehensive and automated solution for boosting AOV through varied bundle types and volume discounts. Its AI-powered recommendations, extensive customization options, and strong social proof make it a well-rounded choice, especially for larger stores or those wanting a sophisticated bundling strategy. The 24/7 support adds significant value.
SelfDesk: Order Edit & Upsell, with its focus on order editing, may be beneficial for merchants needing direct order modification capabilities coupled with basic upselling functionalities. However, given the limited information and substantially fewer reviews, it presents a higher risk. If order editing is paramount and upselling is a secondary concern, SelfDesk could be a viable option, especially if budget is a key constraint, although further research into SelfDesk's exact capabilities is crucial before making a decision.
