Our Verdict
For merchants primarily concerned with boosting their AOV through strategic promotions and automated gift offers, AppHero: Free Gift Upsell BOGO is the more suitable option. Its ability to set up gift offers based on cart value, quantity, or specific products, coupled with its promotional banner features, makes it an effective tool for driving larger orders.
However, for merchants focused on providing a highly personalized and thoughtful customer experience, especially for gift purchases, Wrapin - Gift Wrap & Options is the clear winner. The ability to offer gift wrapping with personalized messages adds a premium touch, increasing customer satisfaction and fostering a positive brand image. While AppHero focuses on increasing the top line, Wrapin concentrates on customer retention and brand building through a more bespoke approach.
Common Questions

Which app is easier to set up and manage?
Based on the descriptions, AppHero suggests a 'simple, intuitive setup', implying easy management. Wrapin, while offering more feature depth related to gift options, might have a slightly steeper learning curve due to its broader personalization capabilities.
Does Wrapin also help increase Average Order Value?
While Wrapin's primary focus is on personalization, offering gift wrapping as an add-on does create an upselling opportunity, potentially contributing to a higher AOV. However, it is not its primary goal like it is for AppHero.
If my products are rarely bought as gifts, which app is more suitable?
