Appsyl's Bestseller Sorting vs RT: Smooth Scroll To Topfor Shopify (2026)
Appsyl's Bestseller Sorting and RT: Smooth Scroll To Top both fall under the 'Search and navigation' Shopify category, but they address fundamentally different merchant needs. Appsyl's Bestseller Sorting focuses on competitive advantage by allowing merchants to hide their best-selling product sort order, primarily targeting dropshippers and those concerned about competitors spying on their product success. Its core value proposition is simple: protect your bestsellers. In contrast, RT: Smooth Scroll To Top enhances user experience by providing a quick and easy way for customers to navigate long product pages, increasing conversions through improved usability. While Appsyl's Bestseller Sorting is about hiding information to gain a competitive edge, RT: Smooth Scroll To Top is about providing easier access to information and improving overall site navigation. Appsyl's strength lies in its simplicity and specialized use case for protecting bestsellers; RT: Smooth Scroll To Top excels in customization and improving user experience for stores with extensive content. The substantial difference in the number of reviews and the rating indicates a much more established user base and positive user experience for RT: Smooth Scroll To Top, though Appsyl's simplicity may appeal to those seeking a very specific, targeted solution.

Our Verdict
If a merchant's primary concern is protecting their best-selling product data from competitors, especially if they are involved in dropshipping, then Appsyl's Bestseller Sorting is the more appropriate choice. Its simplicity and focus on a single, targeted function make it a quick and easy solution. However, the lack of reviews and lower rating relative to RT: Smooth Scroll To Top should be considered.
For merchants focused on improving user experience, particularly those with long product pages or themes lacking a scroll-to-top function, RT: Smooth Scroll To Top is the clear winner. The higher rating, substantial review count, and customization options demonstrate a proven track record of enhancing usability and potentially driving sales through improved navigation. Its wider appeal and focus on customer-centric features make it a generally safer bet for most Shopify stores.
