AR: Buy GTINs/UPC/EAN barcodes vs F: SKU Code Generatorfor Shopify (2026)
AR: Buy GTINs/UPC/EAN barcodes and F: SKU Code Generator address distinct aspects of product identification and marketplace compliance on Shopify. AR: Buy GTINs/UPC/EAN barcodes focuses on providing merchants with GTINs (Global Trade Item Numbers) for their products, aiming to increase the likelihood of product approval and improve performance on platforms like Google Shopping. The app emphasizes the acquisition of GTINs, allowing merchants to skip the manual process of generating them and providing test barcodes. However, it's crucial to note that these GTINs are not brand registered and may not be suitable for marketplaces like Amazon that require it. F: SKU Code Generator, on the other hand, targets the efficient creation and management of SKU (Stock Keeping Unit) codes. It enables merchants to automatically generate SKU codes based on defined rules, including prefixes, suffixes, product types, and vendor details. The app offers bulk editing capabilities and automated SKU generation for newly added products, simplifying the often complex process of SKU management. While both apps share a common category of SKU and barcodes, their core functionalities and target audiences are fundamentally different. One is for acquiring GTINs for marketplace compliance while the other is for internal product identification and organization using SKUs.
