Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants who source products from multiple online marketplaces like AliExpress, Amazon, Shein, etc., and want to populate their store with reviews quickly, Areviews ‑ Reviews Importer is the better choice. Its ability to import reviews from these sources, translate them, and display them in a customizable format is invaluable. However, for merchants primarily focused on establishing a strong presence on Google, improving their local SEO, and leveraging the credibility of Google reviews, Rocket Google Reviews is more suitable. While the apps both deal in product reviews, their focus areas and target audiences are quite distinct, influencing the choice between the two.
Common Questions
Which app is better for dropshippers?
Areviews is significantly better for dropshippers because it directly addresses the need to import reviews from platforms like AliExpress and Shein, where dropshipped products are often sourced. This allows dropshippers to quickly build credibility without waiting for organic reviews.
Which app will improve my Google SEO more effectively?
Rocket Google Reviews is likely to be more effective at improving Google SEO. Its focus on acquiring and displaying Google reviews directly contributes to improved visibility and ranking in Google search results and local search.
Does Areviews allow customers to leave reviews directly on my Shopify store, or is it only for importing reviews?
Areviews' primary function, based on the description, is importing reviews. While it mentions automated email requests for new orders, the core value proposition is the ability to import reviews from external marketplaces. It's not explicitly stated that customers can leave reviews directly, suggesting its strength lies in aggregation.
Is it possible to transfer reviews from Amazon to Google using either of these apps?
Neither app appears to directly facilitate transferring reviews from Amazon to Google. Areviews imports *from* Amazon *to* Shopify. Rocket Google Reviews focuses on gathering new reviews on Google. A separate process or service would be needed to achieve this transfer, likely in violation of terms of service for each platform.
What are the main differences in ease of use between the two apps?
The descriptions suggest that Areviews' ease of use comes from its simple import process, while Rocket Google Reviews' ease of use likely stems from its straightforward approach to collecting and displaying Google reviews. The choice depends on whether the merchant prioritizes ease of import or ease of Google review management.
