AvantLink Affiliate Marketing vs BL External Links Buttonfor Shopify (2026)
AvantLink Affiliate Marketing and BL External Links Button both cater to Shopify merchants interested in affiliate programs, but they address different needs within that broad category. AvantLink Affiliate Marketing appears to be focused on enabling merchants to run their own affiliate programs, allowing them to partner with external affiliates to drive sales. Its higher review count (18 vs 9) despite a similar 5-star rating suggests broader adoption and potentially a more comprehensive feature set for managing affiliates. BL External Links Button, on the other hand, seems to offer a simpler solution centered around redirecting users to external websites, perhaps for affiliate products the merchant themselves is promoting, or for directing shoppers to information or content hosted elsewhere. Given the limited data, it's challenging to definitively determine their full feature sets. However, based on their names and shared category, AvantLink likely provides tools for recruiting affiliates, tracking performance, and managing payouts, essential for running a full-fledged affiliate program. BL External Links Button probably simplifies the process of linking to external sites, possibly focusing on ease of use and quick implementation. The choice depends on whether the merchant seeks to create and manage a network of affiliates versus simply directing users to external affiliate offers or content.

Our Verdict
If a Shopify merchant aims to establish and manage a complete affiliate program, recruit affiliates, and track their performance, AvantLink Affiliate Marketing is the more appropriate choice, as its features are designed for this specific purpose. The higher number of reviews, while not a definitive measure, suggests that more merchants have found its comprehensive functionality valuable.
However, if a merchant simply needs a straightforward solution to redirect users to external affiliate products or to link to external content or resources, BL External Links Button offers a potentially simpler and faster implementation. Its focus on external linking may make it more suitable for scenarios where the merchant is an affiliate themselves or requires a quick and easy way to guide customers to external sources.
