Bagpiper Data Export vs Progus Store Locator Mapfor Shopify (2026)
Bagpiper Data Export and Progus Store Locator Map serve entirely different purposes within the Shopify ecosystem. Bagpiper Data Export, with no ratings or reviews, appears to be a solution aimed at providing merchants with the ability to export data from their Shopify store. Progus Store Locator Map, on the other hand, is a well-received application (5/5 rating based on 58 reviews) designed to help customers locate physical stores or dealer locations affiliated with the Shopify store. Progus boasts features like customizable map styles, bulk import via Google Sheets, advanced analytics, and multilingual support, focusing on improving in-store sales and customer experience by providing a seamless store finding process. The key difference lies in their functionality. Bagpiper focuses on backend data accessibility, presumably for reporting, analysis, or other internal uses. Progus directly impacts the customer-facing storefront by adding a store locator feature. Given its higher rating and feature set, Progus likely caters to merchants with physical locations seeking to drive traffic and improve customer satisfaction. Bagpiper, with its unknown functionality, could be targeted at a broader range of merchants who need to extract and manipulate their Shopify data, but its lack of reviews and information makes it difficult to assess its value proposition in 2026.

Our Verdict
Progus Store Locator Map is clearly the superior choice for merchants with physical stores or dealer networks who want to improve customer experience, drive in-store traffic, and gain insights into customer location preferences. Its positive reviews and feature set indicate a reliable and valuable solution for this specific need.
Bagpiper Data Export is difficult to recommend due to the complete absence of reviews and information. While data export functionality can be valuable, the lack of evidence supporting its functionality and reliability makes it a risky choice compared to other data export solutions available in the Shopify app store. It may be suitable for merchants willing to take a risk on a new app, but a thorough investigation and independent validation would be necessary before committing to it.
