beeGivex vs Selling Pointfor Shopify (2026)
beeGivex and Selling Point both operate within the 'Gifts' category on Shopify, but target vastly different needs. beeGivex positions itself as a Point of Sale (POS) gift card integration solution. Its focus is on managing gift card balances, activations, and redemptions directly within a POS environment, suggesting it is aimed at merchants who already have a POS system and want to integrate gift card functionality. Selling Point, conversely, addresses the challenge of migrating gift cards and store credits from other platforms, including other POS systems, to Shopify. It emphasizes ease of migration, particularly for bulk imports and transforming physical gift cards into virtual ones. The primary distinction lies in their use cases: beeGivex manages gift card functionality *within* a POS, while Selling Point *moves* gift card data *to* Shopify. Selling Point also supports generating and sending gift cards for marketing promotions, a feature absent in beeGivex's description. The significant difference in user ratings and reviews (0/5 with 0 reviews for beeGivex versus 5/5 with 45 reviews for Selling Point) strongly suggests a difference in market adoption and user satisfaction. This should be a primary consideration when selecting between the apps.

Our Verdict
Choosing between beeGivex and Selling Point hinges on your specific needs. If you're seeking to integrate gift card functionality directly into your existing POS system, and the mentioned POS integration is compatible with your specific setup, beeGivex *might* be an option. However, the complete lack of reviews raises concerns about its reliability and support. On the other hand, if you're migrating to Shopify from another platform, need to import existing gift card balances in bulk, or want to generate gift cards for marketing promotions, Selling Point is the clear and safer choice, given its excellent rating and numerous positive reviews.
For most Shopify merchants in 2026, especially those migrating, Selling Point is the recommended app due to its proven track record, robust features for migration and bulk operations, and significantly better user reviews. beeGivex's lack of reviews and unproven integration capabilities make it a riskier option unless you have specific, unmet needs that only it addresses and are comfortable being an early adopter.
