BestChat: AI Chatbot+Live Chat vs Chaty: WhatsApp & Chat buttonsfor Shopify (2026)
BestChat: AI Chatbot+Live Chat and Chaty: WhatsApp & Chat buttons both address the need for improved customer communication, but they do so with vastly different approaches. BestChat focuses on providing an AI-powered, self-learning chatbot experience to handle customer support and drive sales. Its strength lies in its ability to automate responses, provide 24/7 assistance, and integrate deeply with Shopify for order and product information. BestChat primarily caters to merchants looking to automate customer service and leverage AI for data-driven decision-making. Chaty, on the other hand, aims to provide a wide range of communication channels by consolidating numerous chat applications into a single, customizable chat button. Chaty's value proposition centers on accessibility and customer preference, allowing customers to reach out via their chosen platform – be it WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, or even a direct phone call. It's designed for merchants who want to be readily available across multiple communication channels and provide customers with convenient options for reaching them. The two apps cater to different needs within the chat category: automation and AI-driven support versus multi-channel accessibility and customer convenience. While BestChat emphasizes a smart, automated solution, Chaty focuses on enabling instant communication through diverse channels.

Our Verdict
Chaty appears to be the stronger choice based on its significantly higher rating (5/5) compared to BestChat (0/5), despite a relatively similar number of reviews. However, the right app depends entirely on the merchant's priorities. For businesses wanting to automate customer support, generate insights, and are willing to invest in an AI-driven solution, BestChat might be an option *if* its technical issues reflected in the ratings are resolved.
On the other hand, Chaty is the clear recommendation for merchants who want to provide multiple easy contact points via popular messaging platforms. This approach prioritizes accessibility and customer choice, likely leading to increased engagement. If your focus is on making it incredibly easy for customers to reach you via their preferred platform, Chaty is the better choice.
