BeSure Checkout Rules vs Restrict / Disable Gift Cardsfor Shopify (2026)
BeSure Checkout Rules and Restrict / Disable Gift Cards are both Shopify apps aiming to optimize the checkout experience, but they address very different needs. BeSure Checkout Rules focuses on providing comprehensive control over shipping and payment options, allowing merchants to tailor the checkout flow based on a wide array of conditions. It targets merchants seeking to improve conversion rates and customer satisfaction through a highly customized checkout. In contrast, Restrict / Disable Gift Cards offers a much more specific solution: preventing the stacking of discounts and gift cards, and controlling gift card usage based on location. Restrict / Disable Gift Cards caters to merchants who need to enforce strict promotional policies and manage potential losses associated with unrestricted gift card usage. BeSure Checkout Rules has a much broader application, enabling merchants to customize nearly every aspect of the checkout process. The number of reviews strongly suggests BeSure Checkout Rules is the more established and widely used of the two, indicating a broader appeal and potentially a more mature feature set, although a single review may not accurately reflect the quality of Restrict / Disable Gift Cards.
