BigBuy ‑ Dropshipping carriers vs Shipping & Delivery ‑ ShipZipfor Shopify (2026)
BigBuy ‑ Dropshipping carriers and Shipping & Delivery ‑ ShipZip represent vastly different approaches to shipping rate management on Shopify. BigBuy focuses on providing automatic shipping cost calculation specifically for merchants using BigBuy's dropshipping platform. Its strength lies in its direct integration with BigBuy's database and support for major couriers, automating the process for BigBuy product sellers. However, its limited scope and low user rating suggest potential drawbacks. In contrast, Shipping & Delivery ‑ ShipZip offers advanced and highly customizable shipping rule creation. It aims to provide flexibility and control over shipping costs based on various parameters like product attributes, zip codes, and delivery dates, catering to merchants needing granular control over their shipping strategies. ShipZip is positioned for merchants with complex shipping needs, such as those offering local delivery, custom products, or those needing highly accurate location-based rates. The high rating and large number of reviews suggest a reliable and well-regarded app within its niche. The BigBuy app, on the other hand, is tightly integrated with BigBuy and probably isn't useful to a Shopify merchant that doesn't source products from that platform. The app’s low rating would suggest that it is problematic even within its intended user base.

Our Verdict
For merchants specifically dropshipping from BigBuy, the BigBuy ‑ Dropshipping carriers app *might* offer a convenience factor. However, the extremely low rating suggests significant issues. If reliability and positive user experience are priorities, exploring alternatives should be considered.
Shipping & Delivery ‑ ShipZip is the clear winner for merchants needing customizable and advanced shipping rules. The high rating, large number of reviews, and feature set aimed at specific scenarios like local delivery, date-based shipping, and product-based rates make it a more robust and versatile solution for a wider range of Shopify businesses.
