Our Verdict
Choosing between Billbee and Shopify Collective: Supplier depends entirely on your business needs. If you are a small to medium-sized merchant, especially one based in Germany or Austria, struggling with managing orders and inventory across multiple channels, Billbee offers a comprehensive solution to streamline these processes. However, if you are a supplier looking to expand your distribution network and reach new customers by leveraging other Shopify stores, Shopify Collective: Supplier is the clear choice. It facilitates a simple and efficient way to wholesale your products without the complexities of managing multiple online storefronts. For most suppliers, the higher rating and review count of Shopify Collective suggest a smoother experience and better integration within the Shopify environment, making it the more compelling option for expanding their sales network.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Billbee claims to have a 'simple and intuitive setup.' Shopify Collective: Supplier likely integrates more seamlessly within the Shopify environment since it's a native app. However, without direct user experience data, it's difficult to definitively say which is easier.
Can I use both apps at the same time?
It's unlikely that both apps would be needed simultaneously. Billbee focuses on internal operations, while Shopify Collective: Supplier focuses on external sales expansion as a supplier. There isn't an obvious overlap in functionality that would necessitate using both.
Does Billbee support selling through other Shopify stores like Shopify Collective: Supplier?
Billbee primarily focuses on multichannel order management across existing storefronts and marketplaces. It does not appear to directly facilitate selling through other independent Shopify stores in the way that Shopify Collective: Supplier does.
What are the payment terms and structure for both apps?
The data provided does not detail the specific payment terms or pricing structures for Billbee. Shopify Collective: Supplier indicates 'no setup fees, no high commissions,' and that suppliers 'get paid automatically when you ship.'
Which app is better for scaling my business?
Both apps offer scaling potential, but in different ways. Billbee helps streamline operations to handle increasing order volumes. Shopify Collective: Supplier allows you to expand your sales network rapidly without needing to build and manage additional sales channels yourself. If scaling means managing increased internal efficiency, Billbee is a viable option. If it means expanding your sales reach, Shopify Collective: Supplier is better.
