BIRSE: Visual Search vs Floatton ‑ Floating Buttonsfor Shopify (2026)
BIRSE: Visual Search and Floatton ‑ Floating Buttons, while sharing the 'Search and navigation' category on Shopify, serve vastly different purposes. BIRSE is a comprehensive search solution designed to improve product discovery and conversion through AI-powered visual search, keyword prediction, and personalized recommendations. Its strength lies in enhancing the customer's search experience directly within the store. It uses AI to analyze visual preferences and offer similar items, plus an option for saving items to a wishlist. Floatton, conversely, isn't about improving search functionality itself. Based on its name and the limited information provided, it likely focuses on user interface and experience, specifically adding floating buttons to a Shopify store for various actions. This could include buttons for contact, promotions, or quick navigation. While both apps have perfect ratings, Floatton has slightly more reviews which might indicate broader appeal, however, the vastly different feature sets make a direct comparison difficult. The key is understanding what problem the merchant is trying to solve.

Our Verdict
BIRSE: Visual Search is the clear choice for merchants looking to overhaul their store's search capabilities, offer personalized recommendations, and leverage visual search technology. It is ideally suited for stores with extensive product catalogs, or those selling visually appealing goods like fashion or home decor. If a merchant is experiencing low conversions due to poor product discovery, BIRSE is the better choice.
Floatton ‑ Floating Buttons, on the other hand, targets merchants who want to refine their store's user interface by adding easily accessible floating action buttons. This is more about improving the overall user experience and increasing engagement through clear call-to-actions. If a store struggles with user navigation or click-through rates on key pages, Floatton may be a useful enhancement, though further details would be needed to fully recommend it.
Common Questions
What kind of search features does BIRSE offer that Floatton doesn't?
BIRSE offers visual search, allowing customers to upload images to find similar products. It also includes keyword prediction, image recognition, and product recommendations, all of which are search functionalities not offered by Floatton (based on available information).
Which app is easier to install and configure?
Both apps claim easy installation, but without further information, it's difficult to determine which is easier. BIRSE, with its advanced features, might require some configuration for optimal performance of features like image recognition and product recommendations.
If I already have a good search function, do I still need BIRSE?
BIRSE provides features beyond basic search, such as visual search, product recommendations based on visual similarity, and a wishlist. If you want to add visual search or better personalized product suggestions, then BIRSE might be useful, even with an existing search function.
What is the main benefit of using Floatton?
While Floatton's benefits are inferred, the main benefit is likely improved user experience through easily accessible and customizable floating action buttons. This could lead to increased engagement and potentially higher conversion rates, though this depends on the implementation and placement of the buttons.
Which app would be best for a clothing store?
BIRSE: Visual Search is arguably better suited for a clothing store. Visual search is particularly useful for clothing, as customers often search based on an image they've seen. The product recommendations based on style would also be a great benefit.
