bitChat: WhatsApp AI Chatbot vs ReplyDesk: AI Helpdeskfor Shopify (2026)
In 2026, bitChat: WhatsApp AI Chatbot and ReplyDesk: AI Helpdesk offer distinct approaches to eCommerce customer support. bitChat focuses primarily on leveraging AI within messaging apps like WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook to automate sales and support. Its strength lies in its direct sales capabilities through these channels, allowing for product recommendations, cart building, and checkout link generation within the chat interface. It seems tailored for merchants heavily reliant on social commerce and direct messaging for customer interaction and sales. ReplyDesk, on the other hand, aims for broader multichannel support, integrating conversations from over 10 selling platforms, including marketplaces like Amazon and eBay, alongside social media channels. ReplyDesk's core value proposition centers on consolidating all customer communications into a single inbox and using AI to streamline support tasks like auto-replying, translating, and summarizing tickets. This makes it better suited for merchants selling across multiple platforms and prioritizing centralized customer support management. While both apps incorporate AI, bitChat emphasizes AI-driven sales conversions within specific chat channels, while ReplyDesk prioritizes AI-powered efficiency across a wider range of customer service channels.

Our Verdict
Based on the provided information, bitChat appears to be the better choice for merchants who primarily sell through WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook and want to directly convert conversations into sales. Its focus on AI-powered product recommendations, cart building, and checkout links within these channels makes it a strong option for social commerce. However, the limited number of reviews should be considered.
ReplyDesk is better suited for merchants selling across a wide array of platforms (Amazon, eBay, Etsy, etc.) and require a centralized helpdesk to manage customer support. Its AI-powered features, such as auto-replying and ticket summarization, can significantly improve support efficiency. While it lacks user reviews, its broader channel support makes it compelling for larger, multichannel operations. The lack of reviews for ReplyDesk, however, makes it difficult to assess its reliability and effectiveness compared to bitChat with its limited, yet positive, user feedback.
