Blog Filter & Search PRO vs Commentify: Customer Commentsfor Shopify (2026)
Blog Filter & Search PRO focuses on enhancing the blog reading experience through improved discoverability of content. It targets merchants with extensive blog content seeking to improve user engagement and content accessibility. Commentify: Customer Comments, on the other hand, aims to build community and gather feedback by enabling commenting across various areas of a Shopify store, including blogs and product pages. Its core objective is to facilitate customer interaction, collect reviews, and foster a sense of community around a brand. The primary difference lies in their focus. Blog Filter & Search PRO centers on content organization and accessibility, enhancing the blog itself. Commentify expands the function of blogs, by inviting comments and driving product reviews. While both apps fall under 'Content' and 'Blogs', their goals are very distinct. The vastly different review counts and ratings suggest a maturity difference in the apps or a difference in market demand, with Blog Filter & Search PRO appearing to have wider adoption and satisfaction. Commentify's key strength resides in its ability to facilitate customer feedback and build community. It offers features like nested replies, moderation tools, and anonymous commenting. These are not mentioned at all for Blog Filter & Search PRO. The latter presumably would provide better filter and search options than Shopify's built-in features.

Our Verdict
For merchants primarily concerned with optimizing their existing blog content and providing a better user experience through enhanced filtering and searching, Blog Filter & Search PRO is the clear choice. Its higher rating and larger number of reviews suggest greater reliability and customer satisfaction. On the other hand, if a merchant prioritizes building a community around their brand, actively collecting customer feedback, and leveraging user-generated content for social proof and SEO benefits, then Commentify: Customer Comments is the more suitable option. However, the significantly lower rating and number of reviews should be taken into consideration, potentially indicating a need for more cautious evaluation or a younger app still working out some kinks.
Blog Filter & Search PRO is suitable for blogs with significant traffic and established content archives needing better organization. Commentify is ideal for newer stores trying to generate engagement and leverage customer feedback early on, even if they don't have a mature blog yet.
