Blogmatic vs XO Insert Codefor Shopify (2026)
Blogmatic and XO Insert Code both exist within the 'Content' category on the Shopify app store, however, they appear to target very different needs. XO Insert Code is positioned as a simple and accessible tool for merchants of all technical skill levels to inject various code snippets (HTML, CSS, Javascript, Liquid) into their Shopify store's header and footer. It explicitly mentions support for tracking pixels, meta tag verification, and custom styling, catering to merchants focused on marketing, analytics, and basic store customization. Blogmatic, on the other hand, has very little information available at first glance. While both apps boast perfect 5/5 ratings, XO Insert Code has significantly more reviews (91) compared to Blogmatic (3), suggesting it has a more established user base and potentially addresses a broader, more pressing need for Shopify merchants. Without further information on Blogmatic, determining its precise use case and target audience is difficult, making XO Insert Code the default recommendation for code insertion needs.

Our Verdict
Based on the limited information, XO Insert Code is the clear choice for merchants needing to add code snippets to their Shopify store. Its established user base (91 reviews), clear value proposition (easy code injection for analytics, marketing, and customization), and explicitly stated ease of use make it a reliable option. Blogmatic, with only 3 reviews and lacking a clear description of its functionality, remains an unknown quantity.
If Blogmatic focuses specifically on blog-related code injection (e.g., custom blog layouts or social sharing integrations), it *could* be relevant to merchants heavily invested in content marketing. However, without more information, XO Insert Code is the safer and more versatile recommendation for general code insertion needs.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to use for a non-technical user?
XO Insert Code explicitly markets itself as easy to use for everyone, regardless of technical skill. The description of Blogmatic doesn't offer any information about ease of use. Therefore, XO Insert Code is the safer bet for non-technical users.
Which app is better for adding Google Analytics or Facebook Pixel?
XO Insert Code specifically mentions adding Google Analytics, Google tag manager, and Facebook Pixel code as a key feature. Blogmatic's functionality is unknown, so XO Insert Code is the clear choice for these use cases.
Which app has more users?
XO Insert Code has 91 reviews, while Blogmatic only has 3. While reviews don't directly equate to users, it's a strong indicator that XO Insert Code has a larger and more established user base.
Which app is better for advanced Liquid code customization?
XO Insert Code mentions support for Liquid code insertion. Blogmatic's capabilities are unknown. Therefore, XO Insert Code is the more suitable option for merchants needing to add custom Liquid code.
If I want to change the overall look and feel of my blog, which app is better?
Based on the name, Blogmatic *might* be tailored for blog customization, but with only 3 reviews and no descriptive features, it's impossible to determine. If you need to insert custom CSS or HTML to alter the blog layout, and no Blogmatic features are visible, XO Insert Code provides a verifiable option for injecting these code types.
