Our Verdict
Based on the information available, Dataships Checkout Opt-in appears to be the stronger choice for most Shopify merchants in 2026. Its high rating, substantial number of reviews, and focus on privacy compliance and list growth suggest a more mature and effective solution. Dataships' Klaviyo integration also makes it attractive for merchants already invested in that platform.
BroadcastSMS might be suitable for very small merchants with limited technical expertise who want a simple, hands-on approach to SMS marketing and are comfortable managing everything themselves. However, the lack of reviews and the absence of explicit compliance features raise concerns about its long-term viability and potential risks associated with data privacy regulations.
