B&S ‑ Add Custom Code vs Progus Store Locator Mapfor Shopify (2026)
B&S ‑ Add Custom Code and Progus Store Locator Map serve entirely different purposes for Shopify merchants in 2026. B&S ‑ Add Custom Code focuses on empowering merchants to customize their storefront by inserting various types of code (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Liquid) without requiring deep programming knowledge. Its value proposition is centered around enhancing site functionality, integrating third-party services (like Google Analytics and Facebook Pixel), and applying custom styling. However, it currently lacks user reviews, indicating a very new or unused app. Progus Store Locator Map, conversely, directly addresses the needs of merchants with physical store locations. It provides a customizable store locator solution to help customers find these locations easily. Its strengths lie in user-friendliness (no API key required), extensive customization options for map styling, advanced analytics, and multilingual support. With a perfect rating and substantial reviews, it appears to be a well-received and functional app. The key difference lies in their core functions: code customization vs. store location management.

Our Verdict
The choice between B&S ‑ Add Custom Code and Progus Store Locator Map hinges entirely on the merchant's specific needs. If a merchant requires advanced customization of their storefront, integration of third-party services via code snippets, and has or is willing to acquire the necessary technical skills, B&S ‑ Add Custom Code *could* be useful despite its lack of reviews. However, the lack of reviews should be a red flag and the merchant should investigate further.
For merchants with physical stores seeking to enhance in-store traffic, provide a convenient store locator, and gain insights into customer search patterns, Progus Store Locator Map is the clear winner, evidenced by its high rating and positive reviews. Its user-friendly interface and feature-rich functionality make it a valuable asset for brick-and-mortar businesses with an online presence.
