BS ‑ Better Shipping vs Parcel Panel Order Trackingfor Shopify (2026)
BS ‑ Better Shipping (BS) and Parcel Panel Order Tracking, while both listed under the 'Shipping' category on Shopify, serve fundamentally different purposes. BS focuses on customizing and controlling shipping rate calculations directly within the Shopify checkout, allowing merchants to fine-tune pricing strategies based on factors like product, variant, and location. Its strength lies in its flexible rules engine designed to maximize profitability by tailoring shipping costs to specific scenarios. Parcel Panel Order Tracking, on the other hand, concentrates on post-purchase order tracking, providing customers with real-time updates on their shipments. It boasts a significantly higher number of reviews and a perfect rating, indicating a strong user satisfaction in its ability to provide a seamless tracking experience. The critical difference lies in the problem each app addresses. BS tackles the issue of profitable shipping by granting merchants granular control over rate setting. Parcel Panel prioritizes customer satisfaction and transparency by providing a branded tracking experience. The former is for merchants struggling with shipping profitability and complex fulfillment scenarios, while the latter caters to merchants wanting to enhance the post-purchase experience and reduce 'where is my order?' inquiries. A significant disparity in user ratings and review count suggests Parcel Panel has either been on the market longer or satisfies a more universal need.

In this scenario, you will need to use both apps. They address different stages of the customer journey. Consider integrating both for a complete shipping solution.
Is BS ‑ Better Shipping focused on optimizing customer experience?
Indirectly. By providing accurate and well-defined shipping rates, it can avoid customer frustration due to unexpected costs. However, its primary focus is on profitability and control, not directly on enhancing the customer's post-purchase journey.
Can Parcel Panel customize shipping *rates* at checkout?
