Buy Box: Product Page Blocks vs ShareThis Share Buttonsfor Shopify (2026)
Buy Box: Product Page Blocks and ShareThis Share Buttons serve fundamentally different purposes within a Shopify store. Buy Box is focused on on-page conversion rate optimization by providing a suite of trust-building and urgency-driving elements directly on product pages, catering to merchants who want to increase sales by improving the product page experience. It emphasizes ease of use through theme editor integration and promises performance efficiency. ShareThis, on the other hand, is geared towards expanding the reach of content through social sharing. It provides tools that enable customers to easily share products and blog posts across various social media platforms. The appeal is to merchants seeking organic growth through social media engagement, but at the expense of potentially reduced store performance. Both apps fall under the 'Design elements' and 'Badges and icons' categories, but their core functionalities and target audiences diverge significantly, which is also reflected in their vastly different ratings.

Our Verdict
For merchants primarily focused on directly increasing sales through improving their product page experience, Buy Box: Product Page Blocks is the clear choice. Its high rating, stronger social proof (more reviews), and focus on conversion-driving elements make it the superior option. The seamless integration with 2.0 themes further simplifies the setup process.
ShareThis Share Buttons is best suited for merchants prioritizing social media marketing and organic growth through social sharing. However, the significantly lower rating suggests potential issues with the app that merchants should investigate thoroughly before installation.
