Buy now or Pay more | Urgency vs Quick Quotefor Shopify (2026)
Buy now or Pay more | Urgency and Quick Quote are both Shopify apps focusing on pricing, but they address entirely different merchant needs. 'Buy now or Pay more | Urgency' attempts to incentivize early purchases by automatically increasing the price of a product as more units are sold, creating artificial scarcity and rewarding early adopters. This app is positioned as a solution for new products lacking social proof and aims to increase conversion rates by leveraging urgency. In contrast, Quick Quote focuses on providing a streamlined quote request and management system, allowing customers to request custom pricing directly from their cart. This is valuable for businesses that handle custom orders or offer bulk discounts. 'Quick Quote' offers merchants the ability to send back discounted prices, and track the quote status from quote request to checkout.

Our Verdict
For merchants launching new products and struggling with initial sales, 'Buy now or Pay more | Urgency' might offer a creative solution to generate buzz and encourage early adoption, although the low number of reviews raises concerns about its reliability and long-term effectiveness. However, merchants should carefully consider whether this strategy aligns with their brand image and customer perception. 'Quick Quote' is a more conventional solution for businesses that need a robust system for handling custom pricing and managing quote requests. The higher number of reviews suggests greater reliability and a wider user base, making it a safer choice for businesses prioritizing a professional quote management workflow.
