Cartlytics vs EZ Exporter ‑ Data Exportsfor Shopify (2026)
Cartlytics and EZ Exporter ‑ Data Exports both cater to Shopify merchants seeking advanced data management, but their focus and capabilities diverge significantly. Cartlytics, with a 4.9/5 rating from 13 reviews, likely emphasizes in-depth analytics within the Shopify platform. In contrast, EZ Exporter, boasting a perfect 5/5 rating from a substantial 96 reviews, positions itself as a robust data export tool with extensive customization and automation options. Its primary strength lies in enabling merchants to extract and transform Shopify data for external use, such as integrating with 3PL services, ERP systems, or creating product feeds. EZ Exporter is geared toward merchants who require highly tailored data exports and automated delivery to various external systems. The ability to create multiple export profiles/templates, schedule automated exports to multiple destinations (email, FTP, SFTP, Dropbox, Google Sheets, etc.), and manipulate data with calculated fields suggests a more technically proficient user base or a business with complex data integration needs. While both apps fall under the 'Analytics' category in Shopify, EZ Exporter leans heavily towards data extraction and transformation rather than in-platform analysis.

Our Verdict
For merchants primarily focused on analyzing data *within* Shopify and gaining immediate insights, Cartlytics might be the better choice, especially if they are relatively new to data analytics. The ease of use and in-platform focus likely make it a more accessible option. However, if a merchant requires highly customized data exports, automated delivery to external systems, and the ability to manipulate data during export (e.g., for 3PL integration or creating product feeds), EZ Exporter ‑ Data Exports is the clear winner. Its robust feature set and extensive customization capabilities cater to more advanced users with complex data integration needs.
Ultimately, EZ Exporter's high rating coupled with a significantly larger number of reviews indicates strong user satisfaction and suggests a reliable solution for merchants prioritizing data export and automation. Businesses with complex data needs and the technical expertise to leverage EZ Exporter's advanced features would likely find it invaluable.
