Cashfree BNPL Plus vs Deposit & Partial Payment Depofor Shopify (2026)
Cashfree BNPL Plus and Deposit & Partial Payment Depo address different payment flexibility needs for Shopify merchants. Cashfree BNPL Plus focuses on providing Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) and EMI options upfront on product pages to boost conversion rates and average order value. Its primary strength lies in its ease of use, requiring no coding, and its integration with Cashfree Payments. It primarily targets merchants seeking a quick and simple way to offer BNPL options to their customers. Deposit & Partial Payment Depo, on the other hand, provides a more comprehensive solution for managing partial payments, pre-orders, subscriptions, and deposits. It offers features like automated invoice generation, card vaulting, and support for draft orders and COD orders, making it a more versatile tool for merchants with complex payment requirements. The key difference lies in their scope. Cashfree BNPL Plus is laser-focused on BNPL and EMI, while Deposit & Partial Payment Depo handles a broader spectrum of flexible payment scenarios. While Cashfree BNPL Plus promises a seamless integration with the Cashfree payments app, its reliance on a single payment processor could be a limitation for some merchants. Deposit & Partial Payment Depo offers more flexibility with deposit management, automated invoicing, and pre-order functionality, but it may require more setup and configuration compared to the no-code approach of Cashfree BNPL Plus. Merchants should consider the complexity of their payment needs and their reliance on specific payment providers to determine which app is the better fit.

Our Verdict
For merchants already using Cashfree Payments and seeking a simple way to add BNPL and EMI options to their product pages to boost sales, Cashfree BNPL Plus is the clear choice, given its no-code setup and focused functionality. However, the limited review count makes it a riskier choice compared to Deposit & Partial Payment Depo.
Merchants requiring more comprehensive payment flexibility, including partial payments, pre-orders, subscription management, support for draft orders, and COD optimization, should opt for Deposit & Partial Payment Depo. While it may require more configuration, its broader feature set and higher review count indicate greater versatility and reliability, despite the slightly lower rating. The ability to manage deposits and send automated invoices makes it a more powerful tool for stores with complex order management needs.
