Cashfree BNPL Plus vs Partial Pay & Deposit: Downpayfor Shopify (2026)
Cashfree BNPL Plus and Partial Pay & Deposit: Downpay both address payment flexibility on Shopify, but cater to distinct merchant needs. Cashfree BNPL Plus positions itself as a conversion booster through upfront display of BNPL and EMI options, aiming to emulate large marketplace payment conveniences. Its primary strength lies in its ease of use and potential to increase AOV by offering immediate payment choices directly on the product page. This app is ideal for merchants already using Cashfree Payments and seeking a quick, no-code BNPL integration. The single review, however, represents a significant risk factor for new merchants in 2026. Partial Pay & Deposit: Downpay, on the other hand, is a more robust solution built for high-value, custom, or pre-order products. Its core strength is enabling deposit payments and payment plans without relying on external financing or credit checks. This app provides more customization and control over the payment process, including manual collection, invoice generation, and API integrations. It is better suited for merchants selling items with long lead times who need a comprehensive layaway or split payment system. Its higher review count indicates greater user trust and product maturity.

Our Verdict
Cashfree BNPL Plus is best for merchants already utilizing Cashfree Payments who seek a simple way to offer BNPL and EMI options and potentially boost AOV. It offers a quick and easy implementation. However, the extremely low review count is a major concern. Partial Pay & Deposit: Downpay, while requiring more setup, provides a more feature-rich and customizable solution for businesses selling high-value, custom, or pre-order items. It's a stronger choice if you need deposit payments, split payments, and greater control over the entire payment process. The higher number of reviews indicates greater confidence in its functionality and reliability. Based on the significant difference in review count, Partial Pay & Deposit Downpay appears to be the more mature and trusted application.
