Cashfree BNPL Plus vs Synchrony On‑Site Messagingfor Shopify (2026)
Cashfree BNPL Plus and Synchrony On-Site Messaging both aim to increase sales and AOV by offering flexible payment options. Cashfree BNPL Plus positions itself as a 'no-code' solution specifically for Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) and EMI offers. It emphasizes ease of integration and upfront display of offers on product pages. It appears aimed at merchants already using Cashfree Payments, seeking quick BNPL integration. In contrast, Synchrony On-Site Messaging focuses on a broader range of financing options, including private label credit cards, Pay Monthly, and Pay-in-4 loans. It requires a separate application and approval process for Synchrony's financing solutions before integration. The key difference lies in the scope of financing options and integration complexity. Cashfree BNPL Plus appears to be simpler to implement for merchants using Cashfree Payments and primarily focused on BNPL and EMI. Synchrony On-Site Messaging offers a more comprehensive suite of financing products, potentially appealing to merchants seeking deeper integration with a financial institution and offering various financing plans. However, it necessitates a separate approval process with Synchrony, adding a layer of complexity. Both apps aim to reduce customer drop-offs by making payment more accessible, but they achieve this through different mechanisms and target different segments of merchants.

Our Verdict
For merchants already utilizing Cashfree Payments and looking for a quick and easy way to implement BNPL and EMI options, Cashfree BNPL Plus appears to be the better choice. Its 'no-code' integration and focus on upfront offer display make it attractive for immediate impact.
However, if a merchant requires a more comprehensive suite of financing options, including private label credit cards and monthly payment plans, and is willing to undergo a separate application and onboarding process, Synchrony On-Site Messaging is likely the superior choice. Its ability to offer various financing options and pre-qualification features can be valuable for larger purchases or customers needing more flexible payment terms.
