Casper ‑ Cart Sync vs Kumo ‑ B2B Wholesale Toolsfor Shopify (2026)
Casper ‑ Cart Sync and Kumo ‑ B2B Wholesale Tools are both highly-rated Shopify apps, each addressing distinct needs for online merchants. Casper focuses on improving the consumer shopping experience by syncing carts across devices for logged-in customers, thereby reducing cart abandonment and increasing conversions. It aims for a seamless, behind-the-scenes approach that requires no manual setup and focuses on the end consumer. Kumo, on the other hand, is a B2B-centric solution, designed to facilitate wholesale operations by enabling custom pricing rules for specific customer groups and managing price lists, catering to merchants selling to other businesses. The core difference lies in their target audience and value proposition. Casper provides value by boosting conversions through improved customer convenience and reducing lost sales due to unsynced carts, while Kumo is designed to optimize B2B wholesale operations and pricing strategies. Casper prioritizes user experience (seamless cart syncing), and Kumo prioritizes B2B functionality (custom pricing, registration, and approval workflows). While both apps share the 'Wholesale' category, their functionalities barely overlap; Casper subtly influences consumer-facing aspects, and Kumo is a more direct wholesale pricing and customer management app.

Our Verdict
The choice between Casper ‑ Cart Sync and Kumo ‑ B2B Wholesale Tools depends entirely on the merchant's business model. If the primary goal is to improve the shopping experience for individual customers and reduce cart abandonment across devices, Casper is the clear choice. It's a set-it-and-forget-it solution that can benefit almost any Shopify store with a login system.
On the other hand, if the merchant is focused on B2B wholesale operations and needs robust tools for managing custom pricing, customer groups, and wholesale registrations, Kumo is the superior option. It provides the necessary features for effectively managing a B2B wholesale business on Shopify. A merchant operating both a B2C and B2B channel might even consider utilizing both apps to maximize sales across both user groups.
