Catalog Maker by Now in Store vs WorkMagic Attributionfor Shopify (2026)
Catalog Maker by Now in Store and WorkMagic Attribution both fall under the "Advertising - Other" category on the Shopify App Store, but their functionalities and target audiences differ significantly. Catalog Maker likely focuses on creating and distributing product catalogs, potentially for offline or multichannel marketing. It has a substantial number of reviews (92) and a rating of 3.9/5, suggesting it's been used by a broader range of merchants and has established a presence. This implies a potentially longer track record and a more mature feature set, although the lower rating may indicate areas for improvement. WorkMagic Attribution, on the other hand, likely centers on tracking and attributing the sources of sales, a crucial function for optimizing advertising spend. Its perfect 5/5 rating is promising, but the low review count (4) suggests it's a newer app or caters to a very specific niche. The attribution functionality implies a focus on merchants actively running advertising campaigns and seeking deeper insights into their ROI. While the perfect rating is attractive, the small sample size makes it less statistically reliable than Catalog Maker's reviews. Choosing between the two hinges on whether a merchant needs catalog creation or advertising attribution.

Our Verdict
If your primary need is to create and manage product catalogs, especially for offline or multichannel marketing, Catalog Maker by Now in Store is likely the better choice. Its larger user base provides more real-world feedback, despite the slightly lower rating, potentially revealing hidden use cases and limitations.
However, if your focus is on understanding and improving your advertising ROI through accurate attribution, WorkMagic Attribution, with its perfect rating, may be worth exploring. Be aware that the limited number of reviews means it could be less battle-tested and may lack some of the features or integrations found in more established apps. New businesses heavily reliant on paid advertising to bring in business may consider this option.

Which app is more reliable?
Catalog Maker by Now in Store likely has more tested code paths given its high review volume. While the rating of WorkMagic Attribution is higher, there are only 4 reviews so it is less likely to have caught as many edge cases or bugs.
What integrations do these apps offer?
The provided data does not specify what integrations Catalog Maker by Now in Store and WorkMagic Attribution offer. Reviewing the app descriptions in the Shopify App Store or visiting their respective websites will reveal what integrations are available.
Which app is better for a small business?
It depends on the small business's needs. If the business primarily relies on advertising, WorkMagic Attribution might be beneficial. If the business needs to distribute product catalogs, especially for B2B sales, then Catalog Maker by Now in Store is the better option.
Which app is more likely to have ongoing support and updates?
Catalog Maker's higher review count suggests a larger user base, making it more likely that the developers are actively maintaining and updating the app. However, without specific information on the developers' commitment to support, this is just an educated guess.
