Categories Uncomplicated vs Scrolly: Scroll To Top Buttonfor Shopify (2026)
Categories Uncomplicated and Scrolly: Scroll To Top Button both aim to improve the user experience on a Shopify store, but address fundamentally different problems. Categories Uncomplicated focuses on product discoverability by enabling merchants to build hierarchical category structures, improving navigation and SEO. Scrolly, conversely, provides a simple 'scroll to top' button to enhance usability, particularly on long pages. While both apps fall under the 'Search and navigation' and 'Navigation and menus' categories in the Shopify app store, their target audiences and functionalities differ greatly. Categories Uncomplicated targets merchants with extensive product catalogs who want to improve product discoverability through structured categories and subcategories. It offers features like dynamic JSON-LD for SEO and compatibility with Shopify Translate & Adapt. Scrolly, on the other hand, serves merchants looking for a quick and easy way to improve site navigation and usability, especially on mobile devices with limited screen space.
