Chargeup Extra Fee vs Quick Quotefor Shopify (2026)
Chargeup Extra Fee and Quick Quote are both Shopify apps focusing on pricing flexibility, but cater to vastly different needs. Chargeup Extra Fee aims to enhance revenue by adding optional fees to the standard checkout process, focusing on providing additional customer choices like shipping protection or gift wrapping for a price. Quick Quote, on the other hand, is designed for businesses requiring custom pricing and negotiations. It allows customers to request quotes for their cart contents, enabling merchants to provide tailored discounts and communicate directly with potential buyers before checkout. The critical difference lies in their approach to pricing. Chargeup Extra Fee automates fee additions based on pre-defined options, suitable for standardized products and services. Quick Quote facilitates personalized pricing on a case-by-case basis, ideal for businesses with complex or highly variable product costs, or those seeking to build rapport with customers before a sale. Given their distinct use cases, choosing between the apps depends heavily on the merchant's specific business model and product offerings.

Our Verdict
For merchants selling standardized products with fixed costs and wanting to offer extra services like shipping protection or gift wrapping, Chargeup Extra Fee could be beneficial, *if* the claims about its user-friendliness and seamless integration hold true. However, the lack of reviews makes it a risky choice in 2026. Quick Quote is a much safer and more effective option for businesses needing custom pricing or those offering complex or variable products. Its high rating and positive reviews suggest it delivers on its promise of facilitating customer interaction and quote management.
Ultimately, a merchant deciding between these apps needs to seriously consider the maturity of Chargeup Extra Fee and if the use case is right for it. Quick Quote, backed by positive reviews, addresses personalized pricing needs. Quick Quote is the better option for more merchants, due to proven functionality and a better track record.
