CHARGIFY Extra Fee vs Quick Quotefor Shopify (2026)
CHARGIFY Extra Fee and Quick Quote, both categorized under Pricing and Pricing quotes on the Shopify App Store, cater to distinct merchant needs. CHARGIFY Extra Fee focuses on automatically adding surcharges to orders, helping merchants manage expenses by passing fees onto customers. It provides flexibility in setting fixed or percentage-based surcharges, displayed transparently to shoppers. This is best suited for merchants seeking to offset costs by implementing surcharges across their product catalog. Quick Quote, on the other hand, enables customers to request custom quotes through the shopping cart, facilitating personalized pricing and negotiation. Quick Quote is tailored for businesses that require customized pricing based on individual customer requests. It streamlines the quote request and approval process with email notifications and a centralized quote management system within the app. Merchants can provide discounts and track the status of each quote, improving conversion rates by enabling personalized customer interactions. Choosing between the two hinges on whether the merchant prioritizes automatic surcharge implementation or a custom quote and negotiation workflow.

Our Verdict
For merchants operating with standardized costs seeking to automatically pass these costs onto customers and potentially increase average order value, CHARGIFY Extra Fee is the better choice. The ability to set rules and conditions for surcharges provides control over when and how these fees are applied. However, it's crucial to weigh the impact on customer perception of additional fees.
Conversely, Quick Quote is ideal for merchants who offer complex or customizable products/services and prefer a personalized sales approach. Businesses that negotiate pricing or offer bulk discounts can leverage Quick Quote to manage the request-and-approval process effectively. The higher rating and greater number of reviews suggest a more positive user experience with Quick Quote, but the features address different pain points and needs.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up and use?
CHARGIFY Extra Fee likely has a simpler setup process since it automates surcharge application. Quick Quote requires configuring email notifications and managing quotes, potentially making it slightly more complex to initially configure.
Which app is better for increasing average order value (AVO)?
CHARGIFY Extra Fee directly claims to boost AVO by adding extra fees to orders. Quick Quote can indirectly improve AVO if personalized quotes lead to larger orders, but this is not a core feature.
Which app offers better customer service options?
The provided data does not include specific customer service information for either app. User reviews would likely provide better insights into customer service quality.
How do surcharges impact the customer experience compared to custom quotes?
Surcharges can be perceived negatively by customers if not clearly explained, potentially leading to cart abandonment. Custom quotes offer a more personalized experience and can foster customer loyalty if discounts and negotiations are handled effectively.
If I offer both standardized products and custom services, should I use both apps?
Potentially. CHARGIFY Extra Fee could be used for the standardized products to cover general costs, while Quick Quote can manage pricing for the custom services. However, managing two apps may add complexity, so a careful evaluation of the benefits is needed.
