Chative ‑ Live chat & Chatbot vs Chaty: WhatsApp & Chat buttonsfor Shopify (2026)
Chative and Chaty both aim to improve customer communication on Shopify stores through chat, but they adopt vastly different approaches. Chative positions itself as an AI-powered, all-in-one customer service solution designed to handle conversations across various channels, manage customer data, and facilitate direct sales via messaging. It emphasizes a turn-key AI experience with complete customer context and 24/7 support. In contrast, Chaty focuses on providing a wide array of chat buttons (20+) linking to popular messaging apps like WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, and Telegram. Its core value is enabling customers to connect through their preferred channel, enhancing accessibility and potentially improving conversion rates through convenience. While Chative offers an integrated AI-driven solution, its low rating and limited reviews raise concerns about its reliability and user experience. Chaty, boasting a perfect rating and substantial positive reviews, appears to be a well-regarded option for merchants seeking to offer a broad range of communication channels. Chaty also highlights ease of setup and customization with analytics tracking, appealing to merchants seeking immediate, tangible improvements in customer engagement. The key differentiator lies in whether a merchant needs an all-in-one AI-powered platform (Chative) or a simple yet effective multi-channel communication enabler (Chaty).

Our Verdict
For merchants prioritizing a wide array of accessible chat options and seeking a quick, easy-to-implement solution, Chaty appears to be the stronger choice. Its high rating and numerous positive reviews suggest a reliable and effective tool for improving customer communication. The ability to offer 20+ chat channels and track customer interactions provides valuable insights and caters to diverse customer preferences.
Chative, with its AI-driven approach, may appeal to merchants looking for a more comprehensive customer service solution. However, the extremely low rating and single review raise significant concerns. Unless Chative drastically improves its user experience and gains positive feedback, Chaty is the safer and more recommendable option for most Shopify merchants in 2026.
