Chaty: WhatsApp & Chat buttons vs Live Chat by Combideskfor Shopify (2026)
Chaty: WhatsApp & Chat buttons and Live Chat by Combidesk both aim to improve customer communication on Shopify stores. However, they approach this goal with different strategies and target slightly different merchant profiles. Chaty positions itself as a comprehensive communication hub, offering integration with a wide array of popular messaging platforms (WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Telegram, etc.) and call options. This makes it ideal for merchants seeking broad accessibility and maximizing customer reach across diverse channels. In contrast, Live Chat by Combidesk emphasizes a more focused, webshop-centric chat experience with features like automatic customer information completion and shopping basket visibility, catering to merchants prioritizing efficiency and personalized service within their own website interface. Chaty excels in offering numerous communication channels and customization options. Its strength lies in providing a unified chat widget that connects customers through their preferred apps, potentially driving higher engagement and conversion rates. Live Chat by Combidesk, on the other hand, is designed to streamline the chat process for both customers and merchants directly on the webshop. Its focus on quick, personalized support within the webshop and automatic information gathering potentially leads to faster resolutions and increased sales, but without the wide platform support offered by Chaty.
