Our Verdict
Chaty is a proven, reliable choice for merchants who already have established communication channels (e.g., a large WhatsApp following) and want to make it easier for customers to connect with them. Its strength lies in providing easy access to those pre-existing channels. It's a good fit for businesses comfortable handling customer interactions directly. Shopping Agent is a much riskier, but potentially higher reward, option. Its success hinges on the effectiveness of its AI. It is best suited for merchants struggling with high support volume or those looking to experiment with AI-driven sales and support, accepting the potential for AI errors and the need for careful monitoring. Given its unproven status (no reviews), thorough testing is recommended before widespread deployment.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Shopping Agent claims to be set up in 10 seconds by simply pasting a store link. Chaty requires configuring individual chat buttons and customizing the widget, making Shopping Agent theoretically faster to initially implement.
Which app provides more proactive customer support?
Shopping Agent, with its AI assistant, can proactively answer customer questions and recommend products, offering a more proactive experience than Chaty, which primarily facilitates customer-initiated conversations.
Which app offers more control over the customer experience?
Chaty provides more direct control. You interact directly with the customer using your existing channels. Shopping Agent relies on AI, so control is mediated through the AI's training and settings.
Which app is better for a small business with limited resources?
It depends. If the small business already actively uses channels like WhatsApp and wants to consolidate them, Chaty is likely more straightforward. If the business is overwhelmed with support requests and has no dedicated support staff, Shopping Agent *could* offer a solution, but requires careful monitoring and potential human intervention.
What are the potential downsides of each app?
Chaty may not provide meaningful advantage if you don't already have a strong presence on its supported messaging apps. Shopping Agent's AI could provide inaccurate or unhelpful responses, leading to customer frustration. It is also unproven by customers as it has no ratings or reviews.
