Checkout Plus vs Razorpay COD & Magic Checkoutfor Shopify (2026)
Checkout Plus and Razorpay COD & Magic Checkout are both Shopify apps designed to enhance the checkout experience, but they target different merchant needs. Checkout Plus focuses on broad checkout customization and revenue maximization through upselling, social proof, and information gathering. It aims to give merchants extensive control over the entire post-click journey, offering features like gift messages, delivery instructions, and conditional payment/shipping method customization. Our Verdict
For merchants primarily concerned with Cash on Delivery and minimizing RTO, especially in regions like India, Razorpay COD & Magic Checkout is the clear choice. Its AI-powered features and real-time risk detection offer a targeted solution to these specific challenges. However, for merchants seeking a broader range of checkout customization options, including upselling, social proof integration, and post-purchase page modifications, Checkout Plus is the better option. It provides more comprehensive control over the entire customer journey, though it may require more configuration and management.
The lower rating and review count for Razorpay COD & Magic Checkout, compared to Checkout Plus, should also be taken into consideration, although the focus of the app on very specific needs might still make it the best option for merchants facing RTO challenges in COD-heavy markets.
