Clearpay On‑Site Messaging vs Partialy ‑ Partial Payment CODfor Shopify (2026)
Clearpay On‑Site Messaging focuses on boosting conversions among Millennial and Gen Z shoppers who are familiar with the Clearpay buy-now-pay-later (BNPL) service. Its primary strength lies in its on-site messaging customization, designed to seamlessly integrate Clearpay's presence into product and cart pages. The app aims to increase sales by reminding customers of the availability of Clearpay's payment option throughout their shopping journey. Partialy - Partial Payment COD, on the other hand, provides a broader range of flexible payment options, including partial payments, deferred payments, and advanced cash-on-delivery (COD) rules. It caters to merchants looking to reduce return-to-origin (RTO) issues and improve sales by offering payment plans, configuring COD based on various factors (location, order amount, etc.), and handling pre-orders with greater flexibility. The key difference lies in their focus: Clearpay promotes its existing service, while Partialy creates flexible payment systems and handles COD complexity.

Our Verdict
If your primary goal is to leverage the popularity of Clearpay among younger demographics and you already use Clearpay, Clearpay On-Site Messaging is a straightforward choice to enhance visibility and conversion. However, if you need a more versatile payment solution encompassing partial payments, deferred payments, advanced COD options, and handling complex COD rules based on various conditions, Partialy - Partial Payment COD offers a more comprehensive solution.
Partialy would be more useful for stores operating in regions where COD is a popular payment method, allowing for customized COD fees and rules, while Clearpay is aimed at existing Clearpay users who want to increase conversions from that specific audience. The low number of reviews for Clearpay is a factor to consider.
