Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants heavily reliant on Clearpay as a payment option and targeting millennial and Gen Z customers, Clearpay On‑Site Messaging is likely the better choice. Its visual editor and focus on Clearpay's brand familiarity provide a more tailored experience. However, the low number of reviews should prompt extra caution and monitoring. Conversely, if a merchant already uses Razorpay and wants to showcase a wider range of affordability options like EMI and Pay Later, and doesn't specifically target Clearpay users, then Razorpay Affordability Widget could be considered *despite* the exceptionally poor rating. However, given the extremely low rating, the merchant should proceed with extreme caution, thoroughly test the app, and monitor customer feedback very closely before relying on it.
