Cleverific Order Editing vs Kustomerfor Shopify (2026)
In 2026, both Cleverific Order Editing and Kustomer target Shopify merchants looking to improve customer support related to orders. However, they approach the problem from different angles. Cleverific focuses on empowering customers with self-service order editing capabilities and providing merchants with tools to directly modify orders and related processes. This includes features like address changes, product additions, and automated workflows for gifting and bundle management. Kustomer, on the other hand, positions itself as an AI-powered CRM designed to provide a holistic view of customer data and streamline support interactions across various channels. Its strength lies in offering personalized customer experiences and efficiently managing inquiries, orders, and feedback within the Kustomer platform. Kustomer also offers refund and cancelation functions through its dashboard, while Cleverific's order editing extends to complex modifications and draft order creation.

Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants needing comprehensive control over order editing, including detailed modifications, draft orders, and self-service options for customers, Cleverific Order Editing is the stronger choice. Its focus on empowering customers to manage their orders and providing merchants with robust editing tools is invaluable. However, for merchants prioritizing a holistic view of customer interactions across all support channels and seeking to personalize those interactions using AI, Kustomer is the better option. If your primary need is a full-fledged CRM with order data integration to enhance support efficiency, Kustomer's AI capabilities will prove beneficial. Choosing between the two depends on the specific pain points you're addressing: order modification complexities versus holistic customer management.
Common Questions
What is the biggest difference between Cleverific and Kustomer?
Cleverific primarily enables detailed order editing and self-service options for customers, while Kustomer is a comprehensive AI-powered CRM focused on providing a holistic view of customer data and streamlined support interactions.
Which app is better for reducing the number of support tickets?
Cleverific's self-service order editing is likely more effective at directly reducing support tickets related to order modifications, address changes, and product additions. Kustomer improves support efficiency, but doesn't directly empower customers to self-serve order edits.
Can both apps handle customer refunds?
While both ultimately contribute to resolving customer issues, Kustomer explicitly lists 'Direct Order Refunds/Cancellations from Kustomer Timeline' as a key feature. Cleverific focuses more on editing the order before it reaches that point.
Which app is more difficult to set up and use?
Without specific data on ease of use, it's difficult to say definitively. However, a comprehensive CRM like Kustomer often requires more initial setup and configuration due to its broader feature set compared to Cleverific's more focused order editing functionality. This depends on the technical expertise of the user.
If I only need to edit orders occasionally, which app is more suitable?
If order editing is an infrequent need, Cleverific's dedicated tools may be more cost-effective and user-friendly than implementing a full CRM like Kustomer. The choice also depends on whether you also need other features like customer data management beyond simple order editing.
