Our Verdict
The choice between Clicky and Tiny SEO Speed Image Optimizer depends entirely on the merchant's priorities. If the primary goal is to visually enhance the storefront with dynamic, clickable banners to drive traffic to specific products or collections, Clicky: Clickable Image Banner is the suitable choice. However, if the focus is on improving SEO performance, boosting page speed, and optimizing images for search engines, Tiny SEO Speed Image Optimizer is the clear winner, despite the smaller number of reviews for Clicky. For merchants just starting out, Clicky might provide a quick and easy win, while those with established stores should prioritize the comprehensive SEO and speed optimizations offered by Tiny SEO.
Common Questions
Does Clicky: Clickable Image Banner offer any SEO benefits?
While Clicky focuses on visual presentation, using relevant alt text for images within the banners can indirectly contribute to SEO, but it isn't the app's primary function.
Can Tiny SEO Speed Image Optimizer create clickable banners?
No, Tiny SEO Speed Image Optimizer focuses on image optimization and SEO, not on creating clickable banners. This is outside its core functionality.
Which app is easier to set up for a beginner?
Based on the features, Clicky is likely easier to set up for a beginner because its functionality is much more focused and less technical than the SEO and speed optimization tools offered by Tiny SEO.
Does either app offer mobile-specific optimization?
Clicky explicitly mentions desktop and mobile clickable image banners with own links. Tiny SEO Speed Image Optimizer focuses on mobile page speed improvements through lazy loading and other optimization techniques but does not mention device-specific image banners.
If I'm only concerned about image size optimization, which app should I choose?
Tiny SEO Speed Image Optimizer is the better choice for image size optimization, as it directly addresses image compression and resizing. Clicky does not explicitly address image compression.
