CODFY Cash on Delivery vs Estimated Delivery Date: EODfor Shopify (2026)
CODFY Cash on Delivery and Estimated Delivery Date: EOD are both highly rated Shopify apps (5/5), but cater to fundamentally different merchant needs. CODFY focuses on enabling and managing Cash on Delivery (COD) payment options, providing granular control based on order value, location, and even contact information. This is particularly useful for merchants operating in regions where COD is a prevalent or preferred payment method. It also allows setting specific shipping rates, which are very targeted to the COD customer base. Estimated Delivery Date: EOD, on the other hand, is all about transparency and building customer confidence by providing accurate estimated delivery times. It allows merchants to display ETAs throughout the customer journey, from product pages to order confirmation emails, based on various factors like shipping method, location, and product attributes. While both apps technically fall under the 'Shipping rates' category, CODFY manages it directly for COD, while EOD optimizes the customer experience related to already defined shipping options by improving communication. The stark difference in the number of reviews (1 vs 71) suggests that EOD is a more widely adopted solution.
