Comparable ‑ Compare Products vs Smart Size Chart & Size Guidefor Shopify (2026)
Comparable ‑ Compare Products and Smart Size Chart & Size Guide both aim to enhance the product display and customer experience on Shopify, but they address distinct needs. Comparable focuses on enabling customers to directly compare product features, especially custom options, to facilitate faster purchasing decisions. Its strength lies in customizable comparison tables that highlight key product differences using features like highlighting, tooltips, and checkmark icons. This app targets merchants who sell products with diverse specifications and customization options, where direct comparison of features is crucial. Smart Size Chart & Size Guide, on the other hand, concentrates on addressing sizing concerns in apparel, shoes, jewelry, and other categories where fit is important. It empowers merchants to create stylish, brand-consistent size charts and guides to reduce returns and improve customer satisfaction. The app's key advantage is its highly customizable, mobile-responsive size chart templates, along with multi-language support. It targets merchants selling products where sizing is a primary concern, particularly in the fashion and accessories industries. The large difference in reviews indicates that Smart Size Chart & Size Guide has a larger user base, or that users find the app more impactful. However, the significantly lower review count for Comparable doesn't necessarily indicate an inferior product - it may just address a more niche market.

Our Verdict
The choice between Comparable ‑ Compare Products and Smart Size Chart & Size Guide hinges entirely on the specific needs of your store. If you sell products where customers need to compare features and specifications (e.g., electronics, customizable products), Comparable is the clear choice. Its ability to highlight key differences and display metafields is invaluable.
However, if you sell apparel, footwear, or accessories where sizing is a significant factor, Smart Size Chart & Size Guide is the better investment. The app's focus on creating professional, multi-language size charts will reduce returns and improve customer confidence. While Comparable has a much lower review count, the app's tailored feature set may make it a worthwhile solution for niche markets. The higher number of reviews for Smart Size Chart & Size Guide is an indicator that the app resonates well with merchants who prioritize solving sizing-related issues.
Common Questions
What happens if I need both product comparison AND size charts?
You may need to install both apps. They address distinct aspects of the customer experience and product information display. Determine which is the bigger priority.
Can Comparable ‑ Compare Products be used for apparel?
While technically possible, it's not its primary strength. If the main comparison points are materials and design details rather than size, it could be useful. However, Smart Size Chart & Size Guide is optimized for apparel sizing concerns.
Does Smart Size Chart & Size Guide support custom fields like Comparable does?
No, Smart Size Chart & Size Guide primarily focuses on standard size measurements. It doesn't provide the same level of flexibility for displaying arbitrary custom fields like Comparable does.
Which app is easier to set up?
Based on the descriptions, Smart Size Chart & Size Guide claims to install easily. However, without user reviews directly comparing ease of use, it is difficult to determine with certainty which is easier. Comparable may take longer to set up if you have a lot of custom options to configure.
Are there any free alternatives to these apps?
While some free or freemium apps might offer basic comparison or size chart functionalities, they are unlikely to provide the same level of customization and advanced features as Comparable or Smart Size Chart & Size Guide. The tradeoff is usually limited features or branding.
