ConversionBox Search & Filter vs KOBU ‑ Menu Highlightfor Shopify (2026)
ConversionBox Search & Filter and KOBU ‑ Menu Highlight, while both categorized under 'Search and Navigation,' address vastly different aspects of the shopping experience on Shopify. ConversionBox aims to overhaul the entire product discovery process, focusing on AI-powered search functionality, intelligent filtering, and advanced merchandising features. It positions itself as a solution for larger stores (100+ products) seeking to optimize search speed, increase conversion rates, and boost average order value (AOV). In contrast, KOBU ‑ Menu Highlight focuses on enhancing visual navigation through customizable menu bars, particularly suited for mobile-first designs and featuring collections and specific products within the theme itself. Its strength lies in improving accessibility and reducing bounce rates through intuitive menu design. The primary divergence lies in their scope. ConversionBox is a comprehensive search and merchandising tool, while KOBU is a focused menu enhancement app. ConversionBox targets merchants struggling with product discoverability at scale and those looking for AI-driven solutions to personalize the shopping journey. KOBU caters to shops needing a visually appealing and easily navigable menu system, particularly those wanting to emulate familiar social media interfaces for improved engagement and product visibility within the theme. While both aim to improve the customer journey, they do so through entirely different features and address distinct pain points.

Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants with a large product catalog and a need for powerful, AI-driven search and product discovery, ConversionBox Search & Filter promises a comprehensive solution, *if* they can overcome the lack of social proof (zero ratings). However, the risk is higher due to the untested nature of the app. Merchants should proceed with caution and demand a thorough trial period to validate its claims.
KOBU ‑ Menu Highlight is a safer bet for stores primarily concerned with enhancing visual navigation and improving the accessibility of their collections and key products. The positive reviews suggest that it delivers on its promises of creating engaging and user-friendly menus. It's particularly well-suited for stores wanting to leverage a more mobile-friendly and visually appealing shopping experience akin to social media platforms. Ultimately, the choice depends on the merchant's specific priorities: advanced search and merchandising versus enhanced visual navigation.

Which app is easier to customize to match my store's branding?
