Correios ‑ SEDEX ‑ PAC vs Shipping & Delivery ‑ ShipZipfor Shopify (2026)
Correios ‑ SEDEX ‑ PAC and Shipping & Delivery ‑ ShipZip are both Shopify apps in the 'Shipping rates' category, but they cater to different merchant needs. Correios ‑ SEDEX ‑ PAC focuses on integrating with Brazilian carriers like Correios, Jadlog, and Loggi, offering automatic freight calculation at checkout. Its primary strength lies in simplifying shipping for Brazilian merchants by directly connecting to local carriers, working with or without a Correios contract, and supporting scenarios like dropshipping. It is designed for ease of use with its 'Plug & Play' approach. Shipping & Delivery ‑ ShipZip, on the other hand, emphasizes advanced shipping rules and custom rate calculations. It enables merchants to define shipping rates based on various criteria like product attributes (SKU, tags, vendors), zip codes, distance, and cart parameters. It's particularly well-suited for businesses needing granular control over their shipping costs, such as those offering local delivery, handling products with varying weights or dimensions, or wanting to implement specific charges for weekend deliveries. ShipZip requires the Carrier Calculated Shipping API.

Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants operating primarily in Brazil and needing a simple, automated solution to calculate shipping rates with local carriers like Correios, Jadlog, and Loggi, Correios ‑ SEDEX ‑ PAC might be a suitable option, *however* its low rating should give pause. The plug & play nature makes it quick to set up. However, the significantly lower rating and fewer reviews compared to ShipZip are red flags. If you are operating with brazilian carriers and don't need a lot of customization, you need to weigh the ease of use with the potential lack of support and quality.
If you require advanced shipping rules, custom rate calculations based on various parameters (product attributes, zip codes, distance), and need features like local delivery with time slots or weekend delivery charges, Shipping & Delivery ‑ ShipZip is the superior choice. It offers more flexibility and control over shipping costs, making it ideal for businesses with complex shipping requirements and the technical expertise to configure it properly. Despite needing more configuration, the high rating and large number of reviews suggest a reliable and feature-rich solution.
