Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants seeking to overhaul their search functionality with advanced AI capabilities and personalized product discovery, Coveo AI Search & Discovery is the potentially more powerful option, although the lack of reviews should prompt careful consideration. However, it's likely to require a Coveo license, and potentially more technical expertise. If the primary goal is to improve website navigation, reduce bounce rates, and create a visually appealing user interface through enhanced menus, KOBU ‑ Menu Highlight appears to be a much more suitable choice, given its positive reviews and simpler focus.
Ultimately, the choice depends on the specific needs and priorities. If your store needs a comprehensive search solution driven by AI, Coveo *could* be worth exploring (with due diligence). However, if you need a quick and easy solution to improve navigation and visual appeal through menus, KOBU is the clear frontrunner, based on the available information. The absence of reviews for Coveo is a significant concern, making KOBU the safer choice at this point in time.
