Coveo AI Search & Discovery vs Recomatic Related Productsfor Shopify (2026)
In 2026, merchants choosing between Coveo AI Search & Discovery and Recomatic Related Products face a clear trade-off between comprehensive AI-powered search and discovery versus focused, proven related product recommendations. Coveo positions itself as an enterprise-ready solution, promising multi-layered AI search including lexical, semantic, intent, and popularity models. It aims to transform both B2C and B2B product discovery and offers GenAI integration through their platform, targeting larger businesses or those seeking a full-suite search solution. Recomatic, on the other hand, specializes in related products, emphasizing ease of use, theme compatibility, and sales boosting. It utilizes sales data and product attributes to generate relevant recommendations with customization options and detailed conversion tracking. The critical difference lies in scope and complexity. Coveo is a comprehensive search and discovery platform requiring a Coveo license and offering a broad set of features, including AI search, merchandising, and eventually, GenAI capabilities. Recomatic focuses narrowly on related product recommendations and aims to seamlessly integrate into existing storefronts with minimal configuration. Given the 0/5 rating and lack of reviews for Coveo, it's crucial to investigate its current standing in 2026 before relying on its promise of enterprise-level functionality. Recomatic's 5/5 rating and 108 reviews suggest a reliable and well-regarded solution for its specific niche.

Our Verdict
For stores seeking a complete overhaul of their search and discovery experience and willing to invest in a platform like Coveo, the Coveo AI Search & Discovery app *might* be suitable. However, given its current rating and lack of reviews, thorough due diligence is necessary to ensure it delivers on its promises. The GenAI integration is a potential differentiator if executed well.
For the vast majority of Shopify merchants who need a simple, effective way to increase sales through related product recommendations, Recomatic Related Products is the safer and more reliable choice. Its high rating, positive reviews, ease of use, and focus on conversion optimization make it a practical solution for stores of all sizes. If related products are the sole concern, Recomatic appears to be the superior option based on current data.
