Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants seeking an immediate and user-friendly solution to improve product discovery, Wizzy AI Search & Filter is the clear choice, evidenced by its positive reviews and focus on ease of implementation. Its range of customizable filters and emphasis on enhancing collection and search pages makes it a valuable tool for boosting conversion rates. However, for larger enterprises or businesses with complex B2B or B2C operations and the need for advanced, multi-layered AI, Coveo AI Search & Discovery could be a worthwhile investment. The caveat is the lack of reviews and the dependence on a separate Coveo license. If the advanced AI and GenAI answering capabilities are critical, and the resources exist to manage a more complex implementation, Coveo might be suitable; otherwise, Wizzy offers a more accessible and proven solution.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Wizzy appears to be easier to set up, emphasizing fast implementation without negatively impacting page speed. Coveo requires linking a Coveo license and might have a steeper learning curve due to its enterprise-focused features.
Which app is better for a store with a large number of product variants?
Wizzy specifically mentions showing individual variants on search and collection pages, which would be beneficial for stores with a large number of product variants. Coveo doesn't explicitly mention this, so Wizzy might be a better choice.
Does either app support searching by product images?
Neither app's description explicitly mentions support for searching by product images.
Which app offers more control over search results?
Coveo offers empowered merchandising to fine-tune search, product listings, and recommendations with business rules, implying more granular control over search results. While Wizzy offers keyword redirects, Coveo's approach appears more comprehensive.
Which app is more likely to have ongoing support in 2026?
While impossible to guarantee, Wizzy's existing user base and positive reviews suggest a more robust support system. Coveo's lack of reviews is a concern, although it is backed by the Coveo platform, which may provide support independent of the Shopify app rating.
