CPS Extended Warranty Upsell vs ReturnZap Returns & Exchangesfor Shopify (2026)
CPS Extended Warranty Upsell and ReturnZap Returns & Exchanges both operate within the 'Returns and warranty' category on the Shopify app store, but address very different merchant needs. CPS Extended Warranty Upsell focuses specifically on increasing revenue by offering customers extended warranties on their purchases. It aims to improve profitability by adding a new sales avenue. In contrast, ReturnZap Returns & Exchanges provides a comprehensive solution for managing returns and exchanges. Its purpose is to streamline the returns process, reduce refunds, and enhance customer satisfaction through a branded, self-serve portal and automated workflows. The primary distinction lies in their target audience and core functionalities. CPS Extended Warranty Upsell is suited for merchants selling products where extended warranties are common and desirable, such as electronics or appliances. ReturnZap, on the other hand, caters to a broader range of e-commerce businesses that require a robust system to handle returns, exchanges, and store credit effectively, particularly those experiencing a high volume of returns. Given its feature set, ReturnZap appears to be a more mature and comprehensive solution, albeit with a significantly higher number of reviews, which often correlates with broader adoption and a longer track record.
