Crazyload Page Speed Optimizer vs Sherpas: Smart SEOfor Shopify (2026)
Crazyload Page Speed Optimizer and Sherpas: Smart SEO both aim to improve Shopify store performance, but they approach the problem from different angles and target different merchant needs. Crazyload focuses almost exclusively on page speed optimization, boasting features like dynamic preload, image compression, and script processing to improve PageSpeed Insights and GTmetrix scores. Sherpas: Smart SEO, on the other hand, takes a broader SEO approach, encompassing meta tags, image optimization, structured data, and link management, with the ultimate goal of improving search engine rankings and organic traffic. Crazyload appears to be ideal for merchants primarily concerned with technical performance metrics and immediate page load improvements. Sherpas: Smart SEO caters to merchants seeking a comprehensive SEO solution that addresses various aspects of search engine optimization beyond just speed. The significant difference in the number of reviews also suggests that Sherpas: Smart SEO has a larger user base and perhaps more established market presence and proven reliability compared to Crazyload, which indicates that Sherpas is more reliable with more users. Crazyload is new to the market.

Our Verdict
For merchants primarily concerned with improving their Google PageSpeed Insights score and GTmetrix score with little investment, Crazyload Page Speed Optimizer offers a more focused and potentially faster solution. Its one-click optimization promise is appealing to those who don't have the time or expertise to delve into complex SEO settings. For merchants seeking a more comprehensive approach to SEO, addressing various factors that impact search engine rankings, Sherpas: Smart SEO is the better choice. Its AI-powered features and focus on meta tags, structured data, and link management offer a more holistic strategy for long-term organic growth. The higher rating and significantly larger number of reviews also inspire more confidence in the app's reliability and effectiveness.
Consider choosing Sherpas: Smart SEO if you have a budget and care about overall SEO strategy, and choose Crazyload Page Speed Optimizer if you are on a tight budget.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to use?
Crazyload is likely easier to use due to its focus on one-click optimization. Sherpas: Smart SEO, with its comprehensive feature set, may require more setup and configuration.
Which app is better for improving search engine rankings?
Sherpas: Smart SEO is generally better for improving search engine rankings because it addresses multiple SEO factors, not just page speed. Crazyload can contribute indirectly by improving user experience, but it isn't the only ranking factor.
Which app is better for a merchant with limited SEO knowledge?
Sherpas: Smart SEO provides AI-powered features like meta tag generation, which can be helpful for merchants with limited SEO knowledge. Crazyload automates speed optimization, but knowing nothing of SEO, the optimizations may not be effective.
Can these apps be used together?
Yes, theoretically. Crazyload could be used to optimize page speed, while Sherpas: Smart SEO could handle other aspects of SEO. However, potential conflicts should be monitored to avoid over-optimization or negative impacts.
Does having a better page speed score improve SEO by itself?
Yes, but only to a certain extent. Page speed is a ranking factor, but factors like content quality, backlinks, and user experience also play significant roles. Improving page speed is just one piece of the SEO puzzle.
