Croppy: Crop and Upload Images vs Smart Size Chart & Size Guidefor Shopify (2026)
Croppy: Crop and Upload Images and Smart Size Chart & Size Guide, while both categorized under 'Custom Products' on Shopify, address fundamentally different needs. Croppy focuses on enabling customers to personalize products by uploading and cropping images. Its core value lies in offering personalized options, making it ideal for businesses selling custom-printed goods or products where customer-supplied imagery is integral. Smart Size Chart & Size Guide, on the other hand, tackles the challenge of fit uncertainty in online apparel and accessories retail. It helps merchants create and display size charts to minimize returns and enhance customer confidence. The critical difference lies in their target audience and value proposition. Croppy caters to merchants selling customizable products where customers want to upload their own images. In contrast, Smart Size Chart & Size Guide is specifically designed for apparel and accessories retailers aiming to reduce returns and increase sales through improved sizing information. Both apps aim to improve the customer experience, but they do so by solving distinct problems – personalization vs. fit.

Our Verdict
Choosing between Croppy: Crop and Upload Images and Smart Size Chart & Size Guide depends entirely on the nature of your business. If you sell products that require customer-provided images (e.g., custom phone cases, personalized mugs), Croppy is the more relevant choice, although the lack of reviews presents a risk. If you sell clothing, shoes, or accessories, Smart Size Chart & Size Guide is the better option due to its proven track record, positive reviews, and focus on solving sizing issues.
In its current state, given the absence of any reviews for Croppy, merchants should proceed with extreme caution and thoroughly test it before committing. Smart Size Chart & Size Guide, with its strong rating and numerous positive reviews, appears to be a more reliable and established solution for its intended purpose.
